10 last-minute Halloween party recipes

Need some Halloween party snacks? Here are 10 recipes for easy-to-make Halloween treats for trick-or-treaters of any age!

My mom hosted a Boo Bash over the weekend – bobbing for apples, painting pumpkins and lots of delicious Halloween snacks that the kids (and adults) loved. And the best thing about these Halloween recipes? Not only are they super easy, but you also still have time to pull them off in time for Halloween.

Halloween appetizers

Halloween party snacks
Zombie fingers, anyone? Stick a slivered almond in a cheese stick and use a knife to create ‘knuckles’. Add a spider ring for good measure.
Bell pepper cups - Halloween party snacks
Turn bell peppers into serving cups by carving jack o’ lantern faces into the side.

Eyeballs make a tasty appetizer. Start with a spinach leaf and add slices of tomato, mozzarella cheese and an olive.

Spooky Spider Punch

Fill a plastic container with about 3 inches of water and add clean plastic spiders or spider rings. Freeze. Add the spider ice block to punch bowl just before the party.

Halloween Bites

Fill your younger trick-or-treaters up with these Halloween dishes before they head out for candy.

The picture doesn’t do my sister’s green mac n’ cheese justice. Make your own Toxic Mac n’ Cheese at home by taking a mac n’ cheese recipe, and adding green noodles and green food coloring to your bubbling cauldron.

Super simple and incredibly tasty – these Bar-Boo-Que Cups disappeared in minutes.
Jack o'Lantern Burgers - Halloween snacks
No tricks here – just cut a few jack o’lantern faces in your cheese slices before topping your Jack o’Lantern Burgers.

Halloween desserts

Sure, you’ve got the candy bowl at the ready, but these Spider Brownies and Ice Cream Ghosts come together in no time.

Spider Brownies - Halloween snacks
A boxed brownie mix (I recommend Ghirardelli), a little squeeze tube of frosting and some plastic spider rings and boom – Spider Brownies.
Ice Cream Ghosts - Halloween snacks
Make these Ice Cream Ghosts as a standalone dessert or let people add them to a Spider Brownie for a delicious sundae! Simply slice or scoop vanilla ice cream onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Add chocolate chip eyes, freeze and enjoy!
